I’ve heard some things about myself

That I don’t like to hear
Those other kids, they don’t
Understand me

Every day now is like a dream
I’m walking down this sad scene
Where everyone is just a stranger

But my friends, they keep me going
Even when my fear is showing

I am the gossip in the halls
I am the target for all eyes
I wish they just would
Find someone new

I may be different, I may be strange

Why can’t they just get over me?

And they love me so proudly
